Coach Currey

Teachers, Coaches, and Parents,

Just wanted to let everyone know about Coach Currey.  Yesterday she was not feeling well before her match against Timberview, she had her blood pressure taken and it was very high.  We had her parents come get her and take her to Baylor hospital in Dallas where they spent some time performing many tests.  A few of us went up to the hospital last night after the game and she seemed to be in good spirits and they were able to bring down her blood pressure and stabilize her.  They were planning on reviewing another test after midnight and if all was good she would be able to go home.  The test came back good but she continued to have chest pains so they kept her overnight.  This morning, after visiting with the doctor, she found out that they will do a heart catheterization this afternoon (A long, thin, flexible tube called a catheter is put into a blood vessel in your arm, groin (upper thigh), or neck and threaded to your heart. Through the catheter, doctors can do diagnostic tests and treatments on your heart. For example, your doctor may put a special dye in the catheter. This dye will flow through your bloodstream to your heart. Once the dye reaches your heart, it will make the inside of your coronary (heart) arteries show up on an x ray. This test is called coronary angiography. We will keep you posted on her status throughout the day as we find out additional information.

Please keep Coach Currey in your prayers.

Thank you,
